Eight Games That Will Help You Build Your VR Legs

Hello there fellow VR headset owners.

So for those of you who just bought and are new to Virtual Reality (VR) experience, there is a thing called `VR Legs`, which you should get acquainted before delving into the VR world.

`VR legs` is the ability of your brain and body to not get sick and have nausea (motion sickness) during your VR session, or in simple term, your resistance to VR.

VR legs can be built through numerous sessions of playing. Here, i recommend a few games that personally helped me build my VR legs.

The list below are to be played sequentially according to numbers:

1.`Ocean Descent` from `Playstation VR Worlds` (I highly recommend games that are in sitting position first, to help you get used wearing the headset while moving your heads around. This is a warm up phase for the `movement` in VR)

2.`Thumper`( A rhythm game that is heavily influenced by synth music and horror, it helps your brain and body to cope with `speed` in VR)

3.`The London Heist` from `Playstation VR Worlds` (the game is about a mafia group stealing diamond in London, it involves sitting and also high speed car chase, should help you get used with the `movement and speed` in VR)

4.`Dying` (Now we’re starting to get serious, `Dying` is a First-Person horror-themed Room Escape puzzle game, should help you train with the “moving forward movement” in VR. A friendly WARNING though, If you start to feel dizzy while playing this game, take off your headset fast, place a fan in front of you, drink a glass full of water (mixed with ginger also help), and lie down for at least 15 to 30 minutes. Give it a moment until you are sure to be back into the game)

5.`VR Luge` (This is a high speed game, should help you build resistance to `high speed` VR games, WARNING, same steps as the above, If you start to feel dizzy while playing, take off your headset fast, place a fan in front of you, drink a glass full of water, and lie down for at least 15 to 30 minutes. Give it a moment until you are sure to be back into the game)

6.`Until Dawn: Rush of Blood`(This game is an arcade survival horror first-person shooter, you will be put into a roller coaster and start shooting killer clowns and demons along the way. The game helps you to shape your `aiming movement and get familiar with changes in speed in VR`)

7.`Rigs: Mechanized Combat League` (Now here’s a game that will test all of your efforts in building your VR legs. `Rigs` is an INTENSE shooting game, many running and jumping movements, Consider this game as a criterion in determining one’s VR legs. AGAIN, same as the above, If you start to feel dizzy while playing, take off your headset fast, place a fan in front of you, drink a glass full of water, and lie down for at least 15 to 30 minutes. Give it a moment until you are sure to be back into the game)

8.`Scavengers Odyssey` from `Playstation VR Worlds`(The FINAL TEST of your VR-legs-acquiring efforts, this game will test ALL OF THE ABOVE. It is a 360 DEGREE First-Person Shooter Game, in space! WARNING, if you start feeling nauseous or motion sick, take off your headset fast, and do the steps mentioned repeatedly above)

These eight games helped me a lot in building my VR legs, maybe you have other different list of games that could help all VR newbies out there acquiring their VR legs. Just don’t forget to take a repeated break (15 to 30 minutes, or more, according to your needs) during your VR sessions.

Cheers!
